GCSFC 2020 Snapper Classic
The Gold Coast Sport Fishing Club proudly presents the 2020 Snapper Classic. The event will be run from the ramp adjacent to the Clubhouse at the Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade Southport
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the clubhouse will not be able to utilised, so the event will using the Tournament Manager website for ease of running the event and avoid crowds congregating. The link will be sent out ASAPwith more details on how to use it etc.
Here’s how the event will run.
All teams register using the Tournament Manager website, including payment by 7pm the night prior
Teams to comprise 2 or 3 anglers. You can also fish 2 x 2man teams in one boat
Fishing Times – Depart the ramp at 5.30am and cease fishing at 1.00pm and back to the ramp
Team Captains will be sent an email with the token to be used in all photo’s
Fish can be caught on bait or artificial lures
Bait can be collected prior
Fishing in Queensland waters only
Best 5 Snapper measured to the tip of the tail with combined length will be the winner. In the event of a tie then a countback based on time of captures will be done. All captures to be submitted through the Tournament Manager site, measured on a brag mat with the approved token clearly visible. As a backup, all fish will be recorded on a capture sheet. The weighmaster to collect all capture sheets upon each boats return to the ramp.
Big Snapper prize is a $100 voucher donated by Simply Sanitisers
Entry Fee is $50 per senior angler
$30 per junior
Payout will be:
20 teams or less Top 3
20-25 Top 4
26-30 Top 5 etc
A random draw for club members will be a Simrad Sounder
No briefing on the morning. The brief will be posted on the Gold Coast Sport Fishing Club page the night prior and it is up to teams to ensure they read and understand the rules.
Presentations will be conducted via online stream approx. 5pm that afternoon. Money transferred to winners once bank details provided or can be transferred back through PAYPAL.
