Wilson Elite Flathead Series 2024

(This series consists of 3 rounds)

Entry Fees:

$95 per angler per round

Dates:

Round 1. Saturday 20th July 2024

Round 2. Saturday 24th August 2024.

Final Round. Saturday 5th October Session

Times for Rounds 1 & 2:

Commence Fishing at 6.30am. All teams can depart from any boat ramp. No lines in before 6:30am - Cease Fishing at 4pm.

ALL photos are to be submitted by 4.15pm sharp. No exceptions.

Session Times for the Final Round:

All teams to start at the Gold Coast Sport fishing Clubhouse 6:15am in the allocated position Commence Fishing 6.30am - Cease Fishing 2pm.

ALL photo's are to be submitted by 2.15pm sharp. No exceptions. Rounds 1 & 2 results will be announced at 6pm via the clubs Community FB page with the prizes to be presented to the winners at the next available club night.

Grand Final Round will be a presentation at the GCSFC Clubhouse, Marine Parade Southport, Commencing at 3.30pm

Teams can consist of 2 or 3 anglers (Substitutes are allowed during rounds 1 & 2, during the final round all anglers must have competed in at least 1 of the first 2 rounds to be eligible to compete in the Final.

In the event of a tie, the team with the bigger flathead will be awarded the higher position.

Livewell Inspections:

At any time during & including 30 minutes prior to the start of all 3 rounds of competition, if you are requested by a member of the GCSFC committee to have your livewell inspected, you must immediately relocate to a safe position for the inspection to take place. Failure to comply with the request will result in immediate team disqualification from the current round of competition.

Boundaries:

Are the same as the Flathead Classic All fish are to be photographed on a brag mat with the token clearly visible in the photo and entered into the Track My Fish App. A "Token" will be provided during the event briefing that will be posted on the community Facebook page at 7pm the night prior to each round of the competition.

Measuring Fish:

Measurements are tip length of the tail and rounded down. i.e a 40.5cm fish will be entered as a 40cm fish.

One rod per angler only.

Trolling permitted: No bait, no berley.

Grand Final Qualification:

The series will consist of 2 qualifying rounds and a Grand Final where the top 30 teams with the best 15 fish cumulative total from the 2 qualifying rounds will be invited to fish.

Example: Team A catches 300cm in round 1 and 290cm in the second round this will give them a cumulative total of 590cm. Teams will be ranked in order after round 2 based on their combined totals In the event a team declines their invitation the invitation will roll down to the next team until the 30 team limit has been reached.

Prize categories for each round of the competition will be as follows.

SCORING ROUND 1: is based on the teams best (10 Flathead)

SCORING ROUND 2: is based on the teams best (5 Flathead)

GRAND FINAL SCORING: is based on the teams best (8 Flathead)

Rounds 1 and 2 -Top 5 teams with the most centimetres of flathead will share in $5,000 worth of prizes.

The Grand Final will pay down to 10th place and payouts will be dependent on the number of teams that fish.

Grand Final team with the best 8 Flathead will receive a cash payment

Overall team with the most centimetres of flathead for rounds 1,2 and grand final will named champion team overall and will receive cash payment.
