
he Gold Coast Sport Fishing Club proudly presents the 2023 Top Gun Flathead shootout.
Here’s how the event will be run.
The Auction
Date: Friday 18 August at the Clubhouse
We will be interviewing all the Top Guns. After we finish having a chat we will then open the “Live Auction”. The winning bidder will have 30 minutes to make payment for the angler. Once payment is confirmed then the winning bidder will be paired up with their respective Top Gun to arrange the details for fishing Sunday In the event that payment is not made or forfeited then the person with the next highest bid will be successful.
All teams register via Pro Fishing Tournaments website, including payment by 6pm the night prior - Saturday 19 August 2023
The Briefing will be held directly after entries close
Fish will be entered using the track My Fish app. Entrants are to login to the app after registering so they can be allocated to their team. This ensures the event will run smoother.
Teams to comprise one two or three anglers, both Top Gun and Open Division
Fishing Times – 6.30am to 4.00pm
You can launch from any location within the boundaries but are not to commence fishing until 6.30 am
All fish to be submitted by 4.15pm to be eligible for points to count.

Entrants will be emailed a "how to"use the app and will have the opportunity to submit practice fish in the lead up to the event
Boundaries
Northern boundary is the Powerlines at the bottom of Russell Island and southern boundary is the upper limit of the Nerang River
Scoring
The team with the best 5 fish combined length will win each of the Divisions
Fish of any length can be submitted
Fish recorded as rounded down. So a 39.5cm fish will be recorded as 39 cm and so on.
Fish are to be photographed on a brag mat clearly showing the length of the fish with provided token.
Presentations
The presentations will be conducted at the clubs next Club night in September. Money transferred to winners once bank details provided.
