Boundaries
Are the same as the Classic. The powerlines at Russell Island to the north and the M1 Bridge at Nerang to the south apart from gazetted closed areas.
An imaginary line that runs in line with the trees on the bank in line with the Q1 building at the entrance to the Pin Bar. Any fishing east of Swan Bay is considered inside a Bar and anyone in a boat under 4.8m is required to wear a life jacket.
All green zones are off limits and it is the responsibility of the skipper to know the location of these areas.
Within the boundary means that even if the boat is within the boundary, no casting or drifting beyond that point whilst lines are in the water.
If you believe a team is breaching the rules of the boundary then take a photo and provide evidence to the committee for review.

Fishing Rules
• Anglers may fish any line class with spin, bait cast, spin cast or fly fishing tackle.
• Trolling is permitted
Lure and fly CASTING.
NO BAIT OR BERLEY is permitted to be used under any circumstances. No dead or livebaits.
No gaffs are to be used to land fish. Fish friendly nets are to be used.
Distance between boats. A common sense approach is to be adopted. It is generally accepted that when fishing deep the spacing between boats is reduced.
• Any speed restrictions, non-boating or non- fishing areas must be adhered to; failure to do this will result in either disqualification from the session.
• Fishing is NOT permitted within any defined non-boating or non-fishing areas. If asked to leave a private marina or oyster lease, you must do so.
• Only Flathead are eligible for tournament points.
• Fish must be caught during the designated times.
• Anglers may only use one rod at a time while fishing. This includes such cases as when a lure is snagged but still attached to the rod, anglers can not pick up another rod and begin casting - this would constitute using two rods.
• Any complaints regarding a breech of the rules must be addressed to the on-site Tournament Director within 24hrs of specific incidents. Penalties for rule and conduct violations may result in disqualification from the tournament. The decision of the tournament committee will be final
• Any concerns regarding clarification of rules can be discussed with officials BEFORE the start of the tournament.

Sportsmanship
All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy and conservation and to conduct themselves in a manner that will be a credit to themselves, the sport of fishing and the GCSFC’s efforts to promote the sport.
• GCSFC sportsmanship would dictate that care of fellow competitors is of utmost importance. If an angler or boat is in distress it is expected that other competitors will assist. Remember that safety is more important than your day’s catch.
• It is expected that anglers shall, at all times, conduct themselves in a manner that will reflect favourably on the GCSFC, its members, representatives and sponsors.
